Scenes from our most recent Pick and Give outings!

Now that picking season is over...

Even though we can't pick fresh produce right now, we can still give.  A few ideas:

  • Chicago has welcomed approximately 18,000 asylum-seekers who live at local police stations and shelters throughout the city.  To donate groceries or a home-cooked meal, fill out this form: Police Station Response Team form.

  • You can pick up a few extra items at the grocery store and use our geolocation tool to find a convenient food pantry or food bank. Nourishing Hope posts an updated list of their most-needed items

  • We love the farm boxes from Forty Acres Fresh Market, and especially love being able to add a GOGO box donation to our order that provides fresh produce to a household in need. Purchasing from Forty Acres supports a black woman-owned business that is striving to increase fresh food access in underserved areas of Chicago.

Stay tuned for our next picking event in June of 2024!
